Dermot Mulroney is joining Greg Kinnear in Flash of Genius, a Spyglass drama to be distributed by Universal, reports Variety.
Mulroney will play Gil Privick, best friend of Robert Kearns (Kinnear) and owner of a chain of auto-parts stores. Kearns invented the intermittent windshield wiper and sued Detroit automakers over patent infringement.
The movie is currently shooting in Toronto. Marc Abraham is directing from a screenplay by Philip Railsback, Scott Frank and Abraham based on a New Yorker story.
