James Bond will not be returning to the Czech Republic, reports Variety.
Citing the lack of financial incentives in the country, 007 production company Eon has informed Prague’s Barrandov it will not be using the studios for Bond 22.
The Casino Royale shoot, based mainly in Prague, marked a high-water mark for foreign production at Barrandov but, like the “Hellboy” franchise, Bond will not be coming back for more, worrying Czech industryites.
London-based Eon confirmed Monday it is basing the Marc Forster-directed film, which starts to shoot in December, at Pinewood, U.K.
