John Cena is preparing for his second hair transplant. The retired wrestler shared a picture with a shaved head to give an update about his treatment.
John Cena’s hair transplant journey with Dr. Ken Anderson
John Cena took to his X (formerly Twitter) to update about his hair transplant procedure. He shared a photo in a shaved head shaking hands with Dr. Ken Anderson of the Anderson Center for Hair. “Round 2 of FUE Treatement and this time I went all in for best possible results. Thank you @KenAndersonMD and the staff at Anderson Center for Hair for accompanying me on this journey!,” Cena wrote in the caption.
The doctor also had some warm words for his patient in the comments section. “Always great seeing you, my friend. Your commitment to the process and long-term hair health has made all the difference,” he wrote.
Anderson continued, “I’m grateful for the trust you’ve placed in me and my team, and honored to continue being part of your journey.” In 2025, Cena got candid about his hair transplant with PEOPLE. He shared how fans were bringing his hair loss into the light.
“I saw their signs that said ‘The bald John Cena,’. “They pushed me into going to see what my options were,” he shared. The WWE Champion continued, “I now have a routine: red-light therapy, minoxidil, vitamins, shampoo, conditioner — and I also got a hair transplant last November.”
Cena continued, “I hate the fact that if there wasn’t so much shame around it, I’d have gotten it done 10 years ago.” He added, “I thought I was alone, but seven or eight out of 10 [men] suffer from thinning or baldness.”
While Cena loved his new look, he explained, “They don’t do anything except move your hair, one by one, from one area to another.” However, it helped him give him more range as an actor. “A different hairstyle can identify a part that can get me more work, do the thing I love to do,” he noted.
