Pedro Pascal teases massive Reed Richards and Doctor Doom moments in Avengers: Doomsday. The next Avengers movie will pit the Fantastic Four, Avengers, and X-Men against Doctor Doom.
Since Victor Von Doom’s origin shares comic roots with Reed Richards, fans are eager to see if the film acknowledges their history.
Pedro Pascal on if Reed Richards and Doctor Doom have any ‘big moments’ in Avengers: Doomsday
While promoting The Mandalorian and Grogu (via JEUXACTU), Pascal was asked whether Reed Richard and Doctor Doom will share any “big moment” together.
“I will tell you there is so much to expect that I wouldn’t even know where to begin,” said Pascal. He also revealed that he hadn’t seen Doomsday yet.
Pascal smartly dodges revealing any specifics, so fans will need to wait for answers. The Avengers: Doomsday teaser, which played at Cinemacon, didn’t reveal any shared connections between Doom and Reed. Any “big moments” between Doom and the rest of the cast were reserved for Thor.
The first teasers for Victor Von Doom’s arrival were in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, with the villain arriving at the Baxter building in a post-credits scene. Besides that, there were no mentions of Doom and Reed sharing any history. In the comics, Reed and Doom’s rivalry is a major driving force for the villain’s motivations. In the Time Runs Out storyline from the comic books, which shares a lot with the upcoming Doomsday movie, Doom reshapes reality to replace Reed.

Doomsday marks the third cinematic clash between Mr. Fantastic and Doom, excluding the unreleased Roger Corman-directed film. In all adaptations thus far, Richards and Doom’s friendship and eventual rivalry go back far, beyond the inception of the Fantastic Four’s powers.
Avengers: Doomsday is currently slated to release in theaters on December 18, 2026.
