Megan Fox Reacts To DCU Poison Ivy Comment, Fans Say the Same Thing

Megan Fox sparked discourse online for liking a comment suggesting she should play Poison Ivy, and DCU fans have now reacted to the same. The flora-manipulating villain and Batman foe has yet to be cast in James Gunn’s growing cinematic universe, which includes an upcoming film centered on the Caped Crusader and his supporting cast, The Brave and the Bold.

Megan Fox seemingly shows Poison Ivy interest, fans react

Fox recently shared a post, showcasing a series of images on Instagram, in which she struck a series of suggestive poses. It drew a variety of responses from her followers, mesmerized by her beauty.

However, one user commented under her post that she should play a live-action version of Poison Ivy. Seemingly speaking for the fandom, they added, “We sooo need Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy movie!!!!”

Although Fox liked the comment, indicating interest on her part, many fans didn’t entertain this idea and made their feelings clear.

However, some supported the fan-casting. One wrote, “Honestly I think Megan Fox would be perfect as poison ivy in DCU.” Another added, “I love it. Megan Fox is my favorite number 1 FanCasting choice for #DCU #PoisonIvy….”

Interestingly, Fox has previously expressed interest in playing a Marvel or DC character. Speaking to InStyle in 2021, the Transformers actress shared, “I do want to find a Marvel or a DC character that I’ve always wanted to play, and do one of those.” The fact that she liked the fan’s comment on her recent post suggests she still retains the interest.

Despite her comments, Fox has played two different DC characters before. She portrayed Lilah Black in Josh Brolin’s 2010 Western superhero movie Jonah Hex, which became a critical and commercial failure, and voiced Lois Lane in the Robot Chicken DC Comics Special.

So far, there has only been one live-action film version of Poison Ivy — Uma Thurman’s portrayal in the critically and commercially panned Batman & Robin, starring George Clooney and Chris O’Donnell.

The villain has not yet been cast in the DCU or in any live-action Batman film series. Accordingly, it remains to be seen when and where fans will see the next cinematic rendition of the character.
