Netflix is traveling back to the 1980s, as the streamer updated its Milestone Movies: The Anniversary Collection content to include films celebrating the 40th anniversary of 1984 cinema.
After kicking off their collection in January celebrating the 50th anniversary of a select number of films released in 1974, Netflix is back with another decade. The premise is still the same, with various films included across multiple genres, including award-winning projects, guilty pleasure movies, and cult classics.
Some of the films included in this lineup include A Nightmare on Elm Street, Beverly Hills Cop, Conan the Destroyer, Firestarter, Sixteen Candles, and more.
Netflix plans to continue the celebrations in the coming months, with collections also celebrating 1994 planned for July to celebrate the 30th anniversary of certain, before finally ending with a collection in October celebrating films released in 2004, which are turning 20.
