A Gretel & Hansel 4K UHD release is coming from Scream Factory for Osgood Perkins’ twisted 2020 fairy tale.
Gretel & Hansel 4K UHD Bringing Grim Fairy Tale to Life
Perkins’ take on the Hansel & Gretel story sees Sophia Lillis (IT, Asteroid City) and Samuel Leaky as the titular children who stumble upon a strange house in the woods where a welcoming woman (Alice Krige) hides a sinister secret.
The movie earned plenty of praise for its striking atmospheric cinematography and menacing performance from Krige as the Witch.
Osgood Perkins is best known for 2015’s The Blackcoat’s Daughter and the intriguing upcoming serial killer thriller Longlegs starring Maika Monroe and Nicolas Cage. His commitment to the horror genre should be of no surprise, given he’s the son of Psycho star Anthony Perkins.
