Aster and Aronofsky for Austin Butler? It seems like the Elvis and Dune: Part Two actor is in carving himself a very particular niche.
Austin Butler for Aster at A24?
Darren Aronofsky has multiple suitors for a mysterious upcoming thriller movie that Butler is attached to star in, according to The Insneider. The same report also says Sony are front of the queue having been keen on the young actor since his turn in Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
This project is supposedly next on Aronofsky’s slate as he juggles several projects, including an Elon Musk biopic at A24.
Butler is also reported to have a small role in Ari Aster’s next movie Eddington. Sneider’s sources suggest A24 has been coy on Aster’s latest and its casting because of the financial disappointment of his last movie, Beau is Afraid.
In the meantime, Butler is currently starring in the wartime Apple TV show Masters of the Air and earning praise for his role as the villainous Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen in Dune: Part Two.
Dune: Part Two is set to hit theaters on March 1, 2024, and is projected to have a strong opening at the box office.
