The Suicide Squad star Joel Kinnaman and This Is Us alum Cara Jade Myers have been tapped for leading roles in the upcoming thriller movie Ice Fall.
“The story revolves around on a young Indigenous game warden who arrests an infamous poacher only to discover that the poacher knows the location of a plane carrying millions of dollars that has crashed in a frozen lake,” reads the synopsis. “When a group of criminals and dirty cops are alerted to the poacher’s whereabouts, the warden and the poacher team up to fight back and escape across the treacherous lake before the ice melts.”
Who’s involved in Ice Fall?
Ice Fall will be directed by Oscar winner Stefan Ruzowitzky from a screenplay written by George Mahaffey. It is produced by Addam Bramich, Ryan Hamilton, and Rob Van Norden along with Arclight Films and Top Film. Production is expected to begin in March in Europe.

Kinnaman most recently starred in John Woo’s action thriller Silent Night, in which he played a man who lost his voice after losing his son from a drive-by shooting. Besides Ice Fall, he will next be seen in the upcoming crime thriller The Silent Hour. As for Myers, she appeared as one of Lily Gladstone’s sisters in last year’s Killers of the Flower Moon, which served as her first high-profile project.
