Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete Debuting In Theaters Next Month

It’s been revealed that Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete will be coming to theaters for the first time ahead of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth‘s release.

For the first time, the extended director’s cut version of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children will be playing in theaters. Fathom Events revealed that on February 21 and February 22, fans will be able to watch the animated film in select theaters. Tickets are currently available on Fathom’s website.

First released as Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children in 2005, Advent Children Complete was released as a director’s cut in 2009. This new version added 26 additional minutes to the movie and featured upgraded visual quality and added blood and dirt to the film.

What is Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete about?

“Continuing the storyline based on the hit PlayStation game Final Fantasy VII, two years have passed since the ruins of Midgar stand as a testament to the sacrifices made in order to bring peace,” reads the film’s synopsis. “However, the world will soon face a new menace. A mysterious illness is spreading fast. Old enemies are astir.

“And Cloud, who walked away from the life of a hero to live in solitude, must step forward yet again … Additionally, arrive early for a short film featuring new interviews with the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth development team and Advent Children creators alongside action-packed gameplay from the game, which launches exclusively for PlayStation 5 on February 29, 2024.”
