Sharknado 10th Anniversary Sees Hit B-Movie Back in Theaters

The low-budget hit Sharknado series is celebrating its 10th anniversary with special screenings of the original movie this month. Yes, tornadoes full of sharks are back in the big time, baby.

After becoming a hit franchise for The Asylum on the SyFy Channel, Sharknado will play in theaters for two nights only with a host of promised changes to the cheap and cheerful action horror. It will mark the first time the movie has been in cinemas since one-off midnight screenings ten years ago.

The “fully remastered” version of Sharknado will release on Aug. 15 and 16. According to its trailer, it will feature hundreds of new special effects, including new kills and new thrills. To put it as simply as the trailer does, “more sharks, more ‘nado,”

Sharknado Attacks (the Box Office)
