Logan Director Wishes Marvel Didn’t Bring Wolverine Back in Deadpool 3

Logan director James Mangold has said part of him wishes Marvel was not bringing Wolverine back in Deadpool 3.

Mangold has directed two Wolverine movies, starting with The Wolverine and then moving on to Logan. The ending of Logan appeared to promise that it would be the last time we would be seeing Hugh Jackman as the iconic character. However, it was announced that Jackman would reprise the character in the upcoming Marvel movie Deadpool 3 alongside Ryan Reynolds.

Mangold, who is directing the upcoming movie Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, commented on Wolverine’s return. “I can’t say that there’s a part of me that doesn’t wish that we’d let it be,” he tells Variety. “But there was always going to be another Wolverine. There could be a baby Wolverine and a cartoon Wolverine. As much liquid as they can squeeze out of that rag, they’re going to try to. I don’t measure my success on a movie like ‘Logan’ with whether we ended the conversation. I ended my conversation.”

When is the Deadpool 3 release date?

The film will star Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Morena Baccarin, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Brianna Hildebrand, Shioli Kutsuna, Stefan Kapičić, Rob Delaney, Emma Corrin, and Matthew Macfadyen.
