Amsterdam 4K, Blu-ray, and Digital Release Date & Special Features Revealed

20th Century Studios and New Regency finally announced the Amsterdam 4K, Blu-ray, and digital release date.

David O. Russell’s latest movie hit theaters in October and will soon be available for fans to watch at home. Producers revealed Amsterdam would hit the digital market on November 11, before debuting on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on December 6. There was a lot of anticipation for this movie, which featured Russell’s feature-directing comeback after 2015’s Golden Globe-nominated feature Joy. Amsterdam also boasted a star-studded cast involving Christian Bale and Margot Robbie, among others.

Fans who buy the movie will also get backstage insight thanks to the “Welcome to Amsterdam” feature, some never-before-seen footage featuring the director and part of the main cast. “Learn how this original, witty crime epic was made. Hear from the writer/director about his process, the actors who transformed into their characters, and discover how the production created the period look of this visually spectacular film,” reads the official description of the feature.

Russell wrote and directed Amsterdam. The project reunited the Academy Award-nominee director and Bale after working together on The Fighter and American Hustle.

“A fascinating and richly intricate tale that brilliantly weaves historical fact with fiction for a timely, cinematic experience, 20th Century Studios’ and New Regency’s original crime epic is about three close friends who find themselves at the center of one of the most shocking secret plots in American history,” reads the synopsis.

The film starred Bale, Robbie, John David Washington, Chris Rock, and Anya Taylor-Joy. Additionally, Zoe Saldana, Mike Myers, Michael Shannon, Timothy Olyphant, Andrea Riseborough, Taylor Swift, as well as Matthias Schoenaerts, Alessandro Nivola, Rami Malek, and Robert De Niro.

Arnon Milchan, Matthew Budman, and Anthony Katagas produced Amsterdam for New Regency. 20th Century Studios distributed the film.
