Keith David (They Live) and Beau Knapp (Super 8) are going to be taking on Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling in Shane Black’s comedic noir thriller, The Nice Guys. The Hollywood Reporter has the news, claiming that David and Knapp will play hitman partners with Knapp’s character noted for being both garrulous and clumsy.
Also set to star Matt Bomer, Angourie Rice and Margaret Qualley, The Nice Guys is set in 1970s Los Angeles and pairs an ex-fighter (Crowe) and a private detective (Gosling) as they attempt to solve a murder.
The Nice Guys, which was scripted by both Black and Anthony Bagarozzi, hits theaters on June 17, 2016.
