Universal Orlando Adding Jurassic World and Back to the Future Escape Rooms

Universal Orlando Resort has announced that it will soon debut two brand new escape rooms, dubbed Universal’s Great Escape, featuring two of the biggest movie franchises ever.

The new escape rooms will be inspired by the Jurassic World and Back to the Future franchises and will feature “innovative storytelling and theming” around each specific attraction. The rooms are conceived and designed by the same teams behind Universal’s extremely popular Halloween Horror Nights and will put audience members on “state-of-the-art missions” with “captivating storytelling and intricately detailed sets.

According to Universal, the escape rooms will open later this year, with tickets set to go on sale in the coming months. More information on the escape rooms will also be announced as the attractions are set to open.

The latest entry in the Jurassic World franchise, Jurassic World Dominion, features the return of Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy Daniella Pineda, Justice Smith, and BD Wong. Joining them are original Jurassic Park stars Laura Dern, Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, and Campbell Scott. The third installment also introduces new characters, portrayed by Mamoudou Athie, DeWanda Wise, Dichen Lachman, Scott Haze, and Isabella Sermon.

The film is once again directed by Colin Trevorrow from a screenplay he co-wrote with Emily Carmichael, based on a story by the first two Jurassic World films’ scribes Derek Conolly and Trevorrow. Executive producers are Trevorrow, Steven Spielberg, and Alexandra Derbyshire.
