Following the recent addition of Amanda Seyfried, The Hollywood Reporter brings word that Golden Globe nominee Emmy Rossum has been tapped for one of the leading roles in Apple TV+’s forthcoming anthology drama The Crowded Room. Rossum is set to portray the role of Candy, the mother of Tom Holland’s Danny Sullivan, who is “always looking for a man to fulfill her dreams of salvation.”

The Crowded Room is an anthology series that dives into the true tales of people who have “struggled and learned to successfully live with mental illness.” Holland is set for the lead role of Danny Sullivan, a character loosely based on Milligan, the first person ever acquitted of a crime because of multiple personality disorder (now known as dissociative identity disorder).
