The last we heard about the upcoming Bond 24, the script was in good shape and 12 Years a Slave star Chiwetel Ejiofor was the reported top choice for the film’s villain. Now, The Daily Mail brings word that some changes are in order. Writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, who previously penned five films in the series, have been brought on to do a polish on John Logan’s script for the film in an attempt to add more humor, specifically: “the witty repartee between Daniel Craig’s 007 and Naomie Harris’s Miss Moneypenny, and focusing on the interplay between Bond and Ralph Fiennes’s M.”
The site also reports that due to these changes, production on the film is now scheduled to begin in December of this year, two months later than the previously-reported October.
Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris and Ben Whishaw are returning for the 24th installment, which will again be directed by Skyfall helmer Sam Mendes. Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson will produce.
Still without an official title, Bond 24 is scheduled to hit theaters November 6, 2015.
