Jason Sudeikis Lines Up Hitman Role in Untitled Heist Comedy

Jason Sudeikis has joined the cast of director Jared Hess’ upcoming action comedy heist film, formerly titled Loomis Fargo. Deadline brings word that the Horrible Bosses star will play a hitman opposite Zach Galifianakis, Kristen Wiig and Owen Wilson in the Relativity production.

Inspired by true events, the project tells the story of a disgruntled bank employee (Galifianakis) who is ready to take a chance and risk it all for love, money, and a life he’s only dreamed of. Teaming up with his work crush (Wiig), they conspire to rob the financial institution. Together with their accomplices, the inexperienced criminals nab nearly $20 million – leaving a trail of evidence in their wake. Now the only thing tougher than pulling off the heist – will be getting away with it.

The film arrives from an original screenplay by Emily Spivey (Up All Night) and written by Chris Bowman (The Wrong Brother) and Hubbel Palmer (Humble Pie).

The project will be produced by Lorne Michaels & John Goldwyn. Danny McBride, Jody Hill, Michael Aguilar and Kevin Messick will executive produce alongside Relativity’s CEO, Ryan Kavanaugh and President, Tucker Tooley.

Sudeikis is soon set to reprise his Horrible Bosses role for director Sean Anders’ Horrible Bosses 2, hitting theaters November 26.

The untitled project is planned for release on August 14, 2015.
