Eternals Runtime & Post-Credit Scenes Confirmed by Director Chloé Zhao

In a recent interview with Fandango, Oscar-winning filmmaker Chloé Zhao has confirmed that Marvel Studios’ Eternals will have a total running time of over two-and-half hours, making it one of the longest films in the MCU. Zhao revealed that she could have made the final cut longer than the said runtime, teasing fans that they should expect some deleted scenes in its eventual home release.

“It could be longer!” Zhao said. “You know, it’s ten characters, the Celestials and 7,000 years. There’s a lot going on.”

In addition, the Nomadland director also confirmed that the highly-anticipated film will be featuring two post-credit scenes that both potentially have major implications to the future of the MCU.

“Don’t just stay for the first one — also stay for the second one, too,” She teased. “They are equally as important in weight, and both have big surprises for you.”
