Eternals Featurette & TV Spots Unveiled as Advance Tickets Go On Sale

Marvel Studios has released the first featurette and new TV spots for Oscar winner Chloe Zhao’s highly-anticipated MCU film Eternals, confirming that advance movie tickets are now on sale starting today. The star-studded superhero film is currently slated to arrive in theaters on Friday, November 5 for a 45-day exclusive theatrical run.

The Eternals featurette (via Fandango) finally gave us a behind-the-scenes look at the film, featuring commentaries from Zhao, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, and producer Nate Moore along with the some of the main cast including Gemma Chan, Salma Hayek, Angelina Jolie, and Kumail Nanjiani. They continue to tease the film’s epic scope and scale, while also sharing some interesting new details about the titular team who are being described as a super-powered dysfunctional family unit divided into thinkers and stronger fighters. Featuring lots of new footage, the video also highlights its impending impact on the MCU which Feige describes as a redefining moment.

Based on Jack Kirby’s Marvel comics of the same name, Eternals welcomes an exciting new team of superheroes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The epic story, spanning thousands of years, features a group of immortal heroes forced out of the shadows to reunite against mankind’s oldest enemy, The Deviants.

The film features a star-studded ensemble including Richard Madden as the all-powerful Ikaris, Gemma Chan as humankind-loving Sersi, Kumail Nanjiani as cosmic-powered Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as the super-fast Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as the intelligent inventor Phastos, Salma Hayek as the wise and spiritual leader Ajak, Lia McHugh as the eternally young, old-soul Sprite, Don Lee as the powerful Gilgamesh, Barry Keoghan as aloof loner Druig, Angelina Jolie as the fierce warrior Thena, and Kit Harington as Dane Whitman.

Eternals is directed by Chloe Zhao from a screenplay co-written by Matthew K. Firpo and Ryan Firpo. It is being produced by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and Nate Moore. Zhao is coming off from winning numerous awards including Best Picture and Best Director at the recent Golden Globe and Oscar awards for her acclaimed work on 2020’s Nomadland.
