Jessie T. Usher, Kyle Gallner, and Kal Penn will round out a cast that already features Sosie Bacon, Rob Morgan, Judy Reyes, Caitlin Stasey, and Gillian Zinser, according to the report. Something’s Wrong with Rose will be directed by writer-director Parker Finn.

The film is based on Parker’s short film Laura Hasn’t Slept, which took home the Special Jury Recognition Prize for SXSW’s Midnight Short category. The short film focused on the titular character trying to stop herself from having a recurring nightmare, even going so far as to seek help from a therapist about the issue.

It’s unclear what everyone’s roles will be as of yet, but Bacon is set to play the psychiatrist who after a “bizarre and traumatic event” with her patient, begins to experience some terrifying things that might have a supernatural explanation. Something’s Wrong with Rose will be produced by Temple Hill, with Nathan Samdahl and Natalia Maymi overseeing the project for Paramount Players.
