Ryan Reynolds is making the jump into the world of Fortnite once again, as Epic Games announced on Thursday that Reynolds’ character from the upcoming film Free Guy would be put into the game as a playable character. Previously, Reynolds’ Deadpool was in the game.
In order to unlock the playable version of Guy — the name of Reynolds’ character in the film — players can simply navigate to the Item Shop inside of Fortnite starting tonight at 8 p.m. ET and pick him up. Alongside the character itself, a handful of in-game quests will also be available that, when completed, will grant players with a brand new Good Guy emote.
We could always use a bit more kindness on the Island so Guy from @Freeguymovie has stopped in with a few tasks to do.

In Free Guy, a bank teller who discovers he is actually a background player in an open-world video game decides to become the hero of his own story. Joining Reynolds are Jodie Comer, Lil Rel Howery, Joe Keery, Utkarsh Ambudkar, and Taika Waititi, who is reuniting with Reynolds after previously starring together in the infamous DC film Green Lantern in 2011.
The film will also feature cameos from some of the video gaming world’s most popular influencers including Imane “Pokimane” Anys, Lannan “LazarBeam” Eacott, Seán William “Jacksepticeye” McLoughlin, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, and Daniel “DanTDM” Middleton.
Free Guy is directed by Shawn Levy (Stranger Things, Night at the Museum franchise) from a script written by Matt Lieberman and Zak Penn, based on a story by Lieberman. Producers are Ryan Reynolds, Shawn Levy, Sarah Schechter, Greg Berlanti, and Adam Kolbrenner with Mary McLaglen, Josh McLaglen, George Dewey, Dan Levine, and Michael Riley McGrath serving as executive producers.
