Award-winning German film and television star Veronica Ferres has joined the cast of A Three Dog Life by writer-director Nick Guthe, based on the New York Times bestselling memoir by Abigail Thomas. She joins Salma Hayek and John Travolta, who were previously announced for the lead roles.
“As a multi-award-winning actress, Veronica Ferres’ attachment delightfully elevates what is already a phenomenal cast with the talented Salma Hayek and incomparable John Travolta already on board, said Lisa Wilson, who is handling international sales for the film through The Solution Entertainment Group at Cannes. All of these actors are perfectly cast to breathe life into Abigail’s touching story.
Based on the true story of the traumatic brain injury (TBI) suffered by Abigail Thomas husband Rich, Ms. Ferres plays Barbara Randall, a volunteer at the facility treating Ms. Thomas husband. Seven years prior, Barbaras husband suffered a similar traumatic brain injury.
