Following the announcement earlier today that Edgar Ramirez will be starring in the Bodhi role, director Ericson Core’s Point Break remake has announced a release date of August 7, 2015.
The re-creation of Kathryn Bigelow’s 1991 original is set in the world of international heists and extreme sports and, like the original, involves an undercover FBI agent infiltrating a criminal ring. Luke Bracey and Ray Winstone are also attached to star.
The August 7 date puts Point Break up against Sony’s Goosebumps and 20th Century Fox’s Assassin’s Creed.
