Marvel Studios’ latest entry in the Thor franchise is currently filming in Australia, and as production continues, additional Thor: Love and Thunder set photos are emerging. Today, an impressive set has been unveiled thanks to some fan’s photography, showcasing what looks to be New Asgard.
The photographs, which were initially shared by the Daily Mail, showcase a series of houses. As a sign indicates, it’s likely that the set is for New Asgard, the location where Asgardians set up their home after the events of both Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Endgame, which saw Asgard destroyed and the Asgardians displaced on Earth. The one house also says “Asgard Tours Aerial Sightseeing,” which could play a plot role.

With Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie now leading the group, it’s unclear what the future will hold for the group of Asgardians, but we’ll likely see when the releases next year.
The latest entry in the Thor film franchise is being directed by New Zealand’s Taika Waititi (Jojo Rabbit). The script was written by Waititi and Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (Someone Great). Familiar faces are returning with Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Oscar-winner Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, and Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie. Christian Bale (American Psycho) will play the main villain, Gorr the God Butcher.
Thor: Love and Thunder is set to arrive in theaters on May 6, 2022.
