Sarah Jessica Parker confirms cast’s return for Hocus Pocus 2

Last month it was revealed that Disney+ is currently developing the long-awaited sequel to the 1993 classic horror-comedy Hocus Pocus. Because of this, fans are wondering if Hocus Pocus 2 would also feature the original cast or not, with the streaming service hopeful to get Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy involved with the production of the sequel.

After more than a week since the news broke out Disney+ might have already reached out to the original stars, with Parker answering fan questions about Hocus Pocus 2 on Instagram, revealing that they’ve all said yes and are now waiting for the next step.

Directed by Kenny Ortega (High School Musical), the original film was led by multi-award winning actress Bette Midler (The Rose) and four-time Golden Globe winner Sarah Jessica Parker (Sex and the City) along with Kathy Najimy (Sister Act). Hocus Pocus 2. will be written by Jen D’Angelo (Workaholics), who was also tasked by Disney to create a way on how Midler, Parker and Najimy could be able to reprise their roles as Winifred, Sarah and Mary in the planned sequel  Further details on the film’s plot and new characters are still being kept under wraps.
