Our recaps of the Easter eggs in the Marvel Cinematic Universe continue with the smallest hero of the MCU, Ant-Man! The conman turned hero was in development for his own movie at Marvel Studios at the same time as Iron Man but didn’t arrive on screen until seven years later. Check out the Easter eggs in Ant-Man in the gallery below!
The first Ant-Man film was released in 2015 with Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, aka the title role. Directed by Peyton Reed, the film also includes Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, the original Ant-Man, with Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne, Corey Stoll as villain Darren Cross/Yellowjacket, plus Michael Peña as Luis, rapper T.I. as Dave, David Dastmalchian as Kurt, and Judy Greer as Maggie, Scott’s estranged ex-wife. The film also featured Anthony Mackie appearing once again as Sam Wilson, aka Falcon.
A sequel to the film will arrive later this summer in the form of Ant-Man and The Wasp. Rudd, Douglas, and Lilly all return alongside newcomers Hannah John-Kamen as villain Ghost; with Laurence Fishburne as Bill Foster, an old friend of Hank Pym’s and the hero Goliath in Marvel comics; and Michelle Pfeiffer as the previously-microscopic Janet van Dyne. Peyton Reed returns to direct the film, which arrives in theaters on July 6.
