ShockTillYouDrop.com got a chance to talk to The Ruins director Carter Smith and editor Jeff Betancourt during post-production, as well as see clips from the horror-thriller based on Scott Smith’s novel. The film, also written by Scott Smith, centers on a group of friends whose leisurely Mexican holiday takes a turn for the worse when they accompany a fellow tourist on a remote archaeological dig in the jungle, where something evil lives among the ruins.
