POLL RESULTS: Will You See Black Widow on Disney+ or in Theaters?

Just over 24 hours after asking our readers how they intend on seeing the Scarlett Johansson-led superhero blockbuster, ComingSoon.net’s poll of whether audiences plan to watch Black Widow in theaters or on Disney+ Premier Access has closed and with nearly 1,500 votes, the decision is actually pretty split, though one came out victorious! The first film chapter of Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will see Johansson return as the titular spy and assassin who explores her past of having grown up trained by the KGB before breaking from their grasp and becoming an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D and an Avenger. With the character having met her demise in Avengers: Endgame, the plot for the film is set between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War.

Alongside Johansson, Black Widow features a star-studded ensemble cast including Golden Globe nominee David Harbour (Stranger ThingsHellboy) as Alexei aka The Red Guardian, Florence Pugh (Fighting with My Family, Midsommar) as Yelena Belova, Academy Award-winning actress Rachel Weisz (The Favourite, My Cousin Rachel) as Melina and O-T Fagbenle (The Handmaid’s Tale) as Mason.

The movie was directed by Cate Shortland (Lore) from a script written by Jac Schaeffer (The Hustle). Black Widow is set to hit theaters and Disney+ Premier Access simultaneously on July 9, which will be over a year after its original release date.
