EXO D.O. Kyungsoo Comeback Album Blossom Release Date Revealed

EXO star D.O Kyungsoo has shared the release date of his comeback album, Blossom. The K-pop superstar is all set to release his third EP.

Doh Kyung-Soo, aka D.O., made his official solo debut on July 26, 2021, with the release of his extended play, Empathy. The K-pop allrounder’s first album sold over 380,178 copies in South Korea and peaked at number one on South Korea’s Circle Album Chart. Kyungsoo made his first solo comeback two years later, in 2023, with the release of Expectation.

Release date of Kyungsoo’s new album Blossom revealed

EXO Kyungsoo’s comeback album Blossom will be released on May 7 at 6 p.m. KST/ 5 a.m. ET/ 2 a.m. PT/ 10 a.m. BST. Fans can pre-order the album from April 8 at 11 a.m. KST/ April 7 at 10 p.m. ET.

Kyungsoo’s previous albums, Expectations and Empathy, have garnered praise from fans. Both the mini albums bring out Kyungsoo’s personal music taste and tell a story in precise cohesion.

His 2023 album Expectations was loosely themed around various emotions of love and loss. The storyteller Kyungsoo brought the listeners on a journey where the protagonist experienced how it felt to fall in love and the aftermath of losing it.

The 2023 release of Kyungsoo sold over 211,63 physical copies weeks after its release, ranking number 3 on South Korea’s Circle Album Chart. The album’s title track, “Somebody,” also clocked over 8 million views since its release on YouTube.

In addition to album sales and streaming numbers, Kyungsoo has snagged multiple awards and nominations for his solo music. The 31-year-old K-pop star won the Male Solo Artist Award at the 2021 Hanteo Music Awards.

Meanwhile, Kyungsoo’s K-pop group EXO celebrated its 12th anniversary on April 8. The group will hold a fan meeting on April 14 at 2 p.m. KST and 7 p.m. KST at Inspire Arena in Yeongjongdo, Incheon, to celebrate EXO’s decade-long career at K-pop.

While Kai and Sehun cannot attend the concert due to serving in the Korean military service, other members, Suho, Xiumin, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, and D.O. of EXO, will attend the fan concert.
