Enhypen‘s popular webtoon Dark Moon series soon returns with a prequel, Children of Vamfield. The K-pop act’s label HYBE has teased the release date of the new webtoon with a trailer.
HYBE launched a series of webtoons based on popular K-pop acts, including BTS, TXT, Enhypen, and more, in 2022. Enhypen’s webtoon Dark Moon: The Blood Alter ran from January 15, 2022, to August 12, 2023. The first part of the series had 70 main chapters and a bonus chapter.
After the first series, Enhypen fans will see the prequel part of the story in Naver Children of Vamfield.
Enhypen’s prequel webtoon Children Of Vamfield’s release date explored
As per HYBE, Enhypen’s prequel webtoon Children Of Vamfield will be unveiled on March 17, 2024. Fans can read the Blood Moon series on Naver Webtoon app for the English version of the story.
The first part of the Dark Moon series had eight main characters: Heli (based on Enhypen’s Heeseung), Solon (Sunghoon), Jakah (Jungwon), Jaan (Jay), Shion (Sunoo), Jino (Jake), Noa (Ni-Ki) and Sooha.
The first part of the story portrays the world of Riverfield, where some of the most popular boys of two rival schools have secret identities. When a new student, Sooha, transfers to Riverfield, the rivals, who happen to be vampires and werewolves, get attached to her.
Soon after Sooha’s arrival, some horrific incidents occurred, and mysteries of the past came to light. The first chapter ends by showing a glimpse of their origin story, which will be the main plotline of the prequel.
Blood Moon: The Dark Alter received tremendous responses from fans worldwide. The webtoon surpassed over 100 Million cumulative page views on Naver. It also ranked in the top five in the Naver chart in seven different language services, including German, Spanish, French, Chinese, and Indonesian, topping all Sunday series for ten weeks.
The global reception of Enhypen’s webtoon has prompted more languages to translate the story. The German and Thai versions of the webtoon will also be unveiled in 2024.
