Episode 5 of the Korean BL drama Boys Be Brave begins with a glimpse into Gi-Seop’s childhood. He didn’t want to see his elder sister worry about him; therefore, he started saying yes to everything and everyone. Due to this, he agreed to go on a date with multiple people who liked him. But his behavior always gave Jin-Woo the wrong impression.

In the past, Hye-Jin almost attacked Gi-Seop with a baseball bat because he broke her friend’s heart. Coming back to the present, he spots Jin-Woo with Hye-Jin at a park. In fear, he grabs Jin-Woo’s hand and runs away from her while she curses at Gi-Seop. Once the two catch their breaths, Jin-Woo asks why they ran. Gi-Seop mentions that she is dangerous and starts looking at Jin-Woo to see if he is hurt. He then asks Jin-Woo why he met her. Jin-Woo hides the fact that he went on a date with Hye-Jin.

The episode further focuses on both male leads trying to figure out their feelings. Meanwhile, Gi-Seop’s friend, Choi Balg-Eum (Jung Yeo-Joon), meets his ex-lover, Ji In-Ho (Ahn Se-Min). While Balg-Eum spends the day with In-Ho, Gi-Seop takes his shift at the cafe. Hye-Jin visits the cafe and lashes out at Gi-Seop, stating that no one will ever love him. She emphasizes that Jin-Woo doesn’t like him and wants to date her.

Meanwhile, Jin-Woo realizes that he still has strong feelings for Gi-Seop. He messages Hye-Jin to meet him, as he wants to say something. When the two meet, Jin-Woo confesses his love for Gi-Seop. She mentions that she bashed Gi-Seop because he once hurt a girl she liked. On the other hand, Gi-Seop takes Hye-Jin’s words seriously and assumes that Jin-Woo doesn’t like him. Episode 5 ends with Jin-Woo finding their contract at home with Gi-Seop’s message. The latter writes that he has failed and now understands that Jin-Woo doesn’t have feelings for him. Hence, he has moved out of Jin-Woo’s house.

Boys Be Brave Episode 6 recap & spoilers: Did Kim Sung-Hyun & Nam Shi-An reunite?

Boys Be Brave episode 6 begins with Jin-Woo returning to his lonely self after Gi-Seop moves out of the house. He regrets not confessing his feelings on time. On the other hand, Gi-Seop visits his sister’s clinic and complains of being sick while reminiscing about his memories with Jin-Woo.

His sister reminds him that he has to leave in a few days for the US for further studies. When he arrives at his school to collect some documents, Balg-Eum sends him a clip. In it, he lovingly stares at Jin-Woo in a crowded place. The video seems to have caught the public’s attention, which points out the way Gi-Seop looks at someone. This is when he realizes that he also likes Jin-Woo.

Gi-Seop runs to Jin-Woo’s house to confess his feelings but cannot find him. He also fails to reach Jin-Woo on calls and messages. The house’s owner bumps into Gi-Seop and lets Jin-Woo’s father talk to him.

Meanwhile, Balg-Eum logs in odd shifts to earn money so that he can take In-Ho to expensive places. Despite his efforts, things did not go as planned. When In-Ho gifts him an expensive watch, Balg-Eum becomes uncomfortable. He loses his temper after In-Ho has to pay their dinner bill, as he is a few bucks short. Balg-Eum finally confesses that he still likes him but cannot be with him because of his financial situation. This is why he left In-Ho in the past.

On the other hand, Gi-Seop arrives at Jin-Woo’s father’s house. Someone calls Jin-Woo and informs him about the same. He rushes to his place. When Jin-Woo steps out of the train, he sees Gi-Seop’s call. He picks up and starts asking where he is and how he got in touch with his father. Gi-Seop asks him to look to his left.

The two boys’ eyes meet, and they run towards each other. The final scene features Jin-Woo and Gi-Seop hugging each other tightly with love in their eyes.
