Beauty and Mr. Romantic is one of the most anticipated K-dramas of KBS that has been buzzing among the audience since its premiere. On April 14, 2024, episode 8 of this romance drama premiered. The storyline revolves around Park Do-Ra’s life. She hits a rough spot in her acting career after an incident. How the producing director, Go Pil-Seung, helps her to get back on her feet and how love blooms between them is the central theme of this K-drama.
Im Soo-Hyang plays the ace actress Park Do-Ra’s character, and Ji Hyun-Woo portrays the producing director Go Pil-Seung’s role. So far, the series has shown that Do-Ra and Pil-Seung, who used to go by the name Go Dae-Chung, have a childhood connection. However, decades later, when they meet again, Pil-Seung recognizes her, but she cannot because of his name change. He starts to ignore her, but at a certain turn of events, he has to work with her on a project. After a lot of chaotic interaction, he finally gives away his real identity in the previous episode.
Beauty and Mr. Romantic episode 8: Im Soo-Hyang and Ji Hyun-Woo come closer
After figuring out that Go Pil-Seung is double-timing Park Do-Ra as well as Bong Soo, Do-Ra becomes furious. Slowly, their friendship turns bitter, and she makes his career hell. She asks the director to get rid of Go Pil-Seung from the project. Interestingly, this project is very special to Pil-Seung (Ji Hyun-Woo).
Episode 8 of Beauty and Mr. Romantic begins with Pil-Seung asking for her forgiveness. He finally tells her that he is Go Dae-Chung, the ‘oppa’ she knew from her childhood days. He asks her for a favor. After knowing his real identity, Do-Ra melts down and takes him back into the project.
After that, Park Do-Ra comes to meet Go Pil-Seung in their old neighborhood. She asks whether there was any problem between her mother and his mother. Pil-Seung realizes she doesn’t know about her mother being the reason behind his grandfather’s death. She still doesn’t know her mother took money from his family. In the meantime, her mother, Baek Mi-Ja, gets stressed out thinking about how she will return the money to Pil-Seung’s grandmother.
On the other hand, after losing a sum amount of money, Go Pil-Seung’s father decides to commit suicide, but at the right time, his mother arrives and saves him. Meanwhile, Park Do-Ra and Go Pil-Seung get stranded on an island. In the process, they get closer, more than they could have imagined. Is this the start of something?
