The winning formula of popular K-variety shows like Running Man, 2 Days & 1 Night, Busted, or Netflix’s Physical 100 lies in its lineup. K-pop and K-drama stars, renowned athletes, or comedians—anybody can appear in these shows. The concept entertains fans as they see diverse stories of famous people from different backgrounds.

Variety Show Synchro Yoo reveals lineup

South Korean channel KB2’s new variety show Synchro Yoo (Synchronized You) boasted a celebrity-studded lineup, including Aespa’s Karina, BTOB Yook Sungjae, Seventeen’s Hoshi, Yoo Jae Suk, Lee Juck, and Lee Yong Jin. The show will air on May 10 and May 18.

The new concept variety show unveils an innovative theme. The lineup has to identify cover songs by real artists. The songs will be presented alongside an AI cover that is almost 99% similar to the original song. Based on clues and experience, the show members will explore which is the actual cover and which is AI.

All the K-pop stars participating in the variety show are no strangers to the fun concept of Korean entertainment shows. BTOB’s Sungjae has participated in multiple hit variety shows. We Got Married (with Red Velvet’s Joy), Celebrity Bromance, Law of the Jungle in Sumatra, and Master in the House are some of his popular shows.

Aespa’s Karina has also appeared in Netflix’s unscripted show Agents of Mystery. Lee Yong Jin, Lee Eun Ji, John Park, Kim Do Hoon, and Girl’s Day’s Hyeri were also in the show’s lineup.

Seventeen-member Hoshi starred in over ten variety shows. Nana Tour with Seventeen, Bro & Marble, Going Seventeen, Hit The Road, and Seventeen In The Soop are some of his famous shows.
