Wi Ha-Joon & Jung Ryeo-Won’s New K-Drama Graduation Release Date Revealed

Wi Ha-Joon and Jung Ryeo-Won are gearing up for the grand premiere of their new K-drama, Graduation. The makers of the show recently confirmed the release date of the romantic comedy. The show was first announced in October 2023; fans have been excitedly waiting for updates since. On Thursday, March 21, 2024, Osen reported that Graduation will air on May 11, 2024.

The storyline of Graduation revolves around a high school student, Lee Joon-Ho, and his instructor, Seo Hye-Jin. After ten years, Joon-Hoo returns to the academy where Hye-Jin still teaches. He meets his first love — his teacher, Hye-Jin — and turns her life upside down.

Graduation will premiere after Queen of Tears ends

Wi Ha-Joon and Jung Ryeo-Won’s Graduation will take the airing slot of Go Youn-Jung’s Someday Wise Resident Life — a spinoff of Hospital Playlist. Osen reported that Someday Wise Resident Life will no longer premiere after Soo-Hyun and Kim Ji-Won’s Queen of Tears ended in April.

Now, Graduation will follow Queen of Tears. Youn-Jung’s K-drama will reportedly premiere in the second half of 2024. A tvN representative told the news portal, “The follow-up to Queen of Tears is Graduation. Someday Wise Resident Life will now premiere in the second half of the year. The timing of the program is yet to be decided.”

Previously, Graduation actors Ryeo-Won and Ha-Joon opened up about their upcoming drama. During an interview with Sports Chosun, Ryeo-Won expressed her excitement about returning to the screen in a romantic drama after a long hiatus. Ha-Joon told the publication that he was attracted to his character’s charm. “The story vividly depicts the emotions of everyday life,” the actor added.

Graduation is helmed by Ahn Pan-Seok of the Something in the Rain and One Spring Night fame. Queen of Tears currently airs every Saturday and Sunday. The ongoing K-drama will end on April 28, 2024.
