This time, the actor will appear in a Disney Plus project. According to his agency, Gold Medalist, he is considering a new K-drama titled Knock Off (working title). Meanwhile, he is playing the lead role of Baek Hyun-Woo in Queen of Tears opposite Kim Ji-Won.
Queen of Tears is a Netflix/tvN romance comedy drama revolving around a married couple. He marries a heiress for love, but the feelings fade away over time. When he decides to divorce her, she drops a bomb, turning their lives upside down.
Kim Soo-Hyun’s agency confirms Queen of Tears actor will likely appear in new K-drama Knock Off
On Thursday, March 21, 2024, Newsen reported an update about Kim Soo-Hyun’s career. His agency, Gold Medalist, has informed the news portal that he will likely appear in a new show called Knock Off. The agency told Newsen, “Kim Soo-hyun is positively considering appearing in Knock Off (working title).”
The upcoming series will be directed by Park Hyun-Seok, known for helming tvN’s Secret Forest Season 2. Knock Off is reportedly scheduled to premiere on Disney Plus.
Meanwhile, Soo-Hyun is appearing in Queen of Tears every Saturday and Sunday on tvN and Netflix. Viewers can watch it on tvN at 9.10 p.m. KST and stream anyone on Netflix. The synopsis reads, “The queen of department stores and the prince of supermarkets weather a marital crisis —until love miraculously begins to bloom again.”
Queen of Tears premiered on March 9, 2024, and will end on April 28, 2024. Crash Landing On You writer Park Ji-Eun has written the drama, while Jang Young-Woo and Kim Hee-Won are directing it.
