Queen of Tears: Plot
The plot of Queen of Tears narrates the story of Baek Hyun-Woo, who comes from a village named Youngdu-ri. After gaining success, he becomes the pride of his hometown. Baek Hyun works as the legal director of the Queens Group and marries the daughter of the conglomerate’s owner, Hong Hae-In. Though their relationship starts with lots of love, Hae-In’s arrogant behavior and a certain turn of events transform their bond into a bitter-sweet relationship. What happens between them and how they resolve their issues will be shown in the drama.
Kim Soo-Hyun and Kim Ji-Won are already quite famous South Korean actors. They are known for their acting skills and charming personalities. But this is the first time they have been paired up in Queen of Tears.
Talking about her experience with So-Hyun, the actress said to Newsen (originally in Korean), “Actor Kim Soo-Hyun really makes the filming set comfortable and bright. Thanks to that, we were able to highlight our chemistry as a [on-screen] married couple really well.” Further, she explained how their characters are like magnets. Ji-Won declared, “Although it seems like they’re pushing each other away like the N and S poles, they’re complete when together and can move onwards while deciding on a direction.”
Earlier, Kim Soo-Hyun was widely appreciated for his role in ‘It’s Okay To Not Be Okay.’ On the other hand, Kim Ji-Won is famous for her versatile acting prowess. Furthermore, she was seen in Fight For My Way, Descendants of the Sun, and more.
Queen of Tears: Release date and time
The premiere episode of the drama is slated to release in March on Netflix and tvN. There are 16 episodes with a runtime of 70 minutes, which is a little more than an hour. New episodes will air every Saturday and Sunday.
