What Comes After Love Script-Reading Photos Reveal Lead Cast of Upcoming K-Drama

Coupang Play’s upcoming Korean series What Comes After Love recently held their script reading session. They also announced the cast members.

What Comes After Love is a new rom-com drama based on the best-selling novel written by Gong Ji-Young and Tsuji Hitonari. The storyline revolves around a Japanese man and a Korean woman who meet in Japan and fall in love with each other. But love doesn’t come easy to them as they soon fall apart. However, what happens when they reunite in Korea five years later?

As per the latest announcement, Lee Se-Young plays the female lead, Hong. Her character is a Korean woman who falls in love with the Japanese man, Jungo, while studying in Japan. Japanese actor Sakaguchi Kentaro is reportedly going to play Jungo in the drama.

During the script reading of What Comes After Love, Lee Se-Young and Sakaguchi Kentaro seem to blend perfectly into their characters. To further the excitement, Coupang Play shared the pictures on its social media platforms, which has since gone viral.

Se-Young delivers perfect expressions and emotional quotients as Hong, while Kentaro proves that he is the ideal pick for playing Jungo. He seemingly masters his dialogue delivery and exudes his character’s charisma.

Apart from them, the series also features Hong Jong-Hyun and Nakamura Anne. Hong plays Min Joon, and he already impressed everyone with his performance as Min. On the other hand, Anne portrays a complex character, Kanna.

What Comes After Love has already started filming, and fans are excited to see such a diverse cast. The drama is slated to release within this year, though there’s no confirmed report about it yet.
