One of the popular revenge K-dramas, The Escape of the Seven is returning with a second season. The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection is already in production, and SBS shared new stills of Uhm Ki-Joon’s look from the drama.
From the first season, Uhm Ki-Joon, Hwang Jung-Eum, Lee Joon, and Lee Yoo-Bi are reprising their roles in season 2. Apart from them, CNBLUE’s Lee Jung-Shin has joined the cast as a new member.
The storyline of the 2023 hit drama, The Escape of the Seven, revolves around a man who wants to become the king of his own-built empire. The second season will show the counterattack of the seven people who returned from hell. They will fight against the evil Matthew Lee (Uhm Ki-Joon).
The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection releases character photos
SBS drops pictures of Uhm Ki-Joon’s look as Matthew Lee from The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection. The photos tease his intense look, and the change in his hair color is also visible.
In one of the pictures, he is wearing a two-piece suit, whereas in the other, he exudes a villainous look in a black leather jacket. In the third photo, he dishes a devilish smile to the camera that might run chills down your spine.
A few days back, a teaser was dropped, leaving the fans wanting to know more about the drama. The video teased a mysterious character. On the other hand, Matthew Lee warned the remaining six people, “You all can’t refuse my orders.” While Yang Jin Mo (Yoon Jong Hoon), Go Myung Ji (Jo Yoon Hee), and a few others start working as per Matthew’s desire, some swear to kill him. Han Mo Ne (Lee Yoo Bi), and Geum Ra Hee (Hwang Jung Eum) seek revenge.
The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection is slated to release on March 29, 2024, at 10 pm KST. Stay tuned to watch what is in store!
