Disney Plus’ upcoming K-drama The Impossible Heir has been making quite a buzz all around ever since the announcement. The drama’s release date is almost around the corner. Directed by Min Yeon Hong and written by Choi Won, the main focus of the K-drama is how one can survive in cut-throat competition amid the hierarchy of classes.

The storyline of The Impossible Heir revolves around Kang In-Ha, a man who is raised in poverty. He soon discovers that he has a father who is a CEO. He then starts to thrive to be a part of that affluent world. However, being an illegitimate son, Kang In-Ha faces rejection from his father’s side. Then, he decides to take over the Kang-Oh Group with the help of Han Tae-Oh. Kang In-Ha’s whole plan also involves Na Hye-Won, a debt collector’s daughter. She also has a past that she wants to get rid of.

The Impossible Heir has a stellar star cast, including Lee Jun-Young as Kang In-Ha, Lee Jae-Wook as Han Tae-Oh, and Hong Su Zu as Na Hye-Won.

Apart from the leads, the supporting characters in the drama are Han Sang Jin, Choi Jin Ho, Kim Ho Jung, Lee Ji Hoon, and others.

Ever since the teaser trailer of the drama was dropped, the fans have been waiting for its full-length trailer. Finally, it has arrived. The intensity of the plot and the captivating storytelling is quite evident in the trailer and the audience can’t wait to enjoy the drama.

The Impossible Heir: Release date and time

The K-drama is slated to be released on February 28, 2024, on Disney Plus and Disney Plus Hotstar. The drama is anticipated to comprise 12 episodes in total, promising an engaging storyline for its audience. Notably, the production of the drama has seen a significant investment totalling 20 billion.

Ahead of the release of the drama, the stars have been exuding a great bond. Talking about their friendship and teamwork with IMBC, Lee Jae-Wook shared, “We share so many of our worries and concerns with each other that it’s difficult to pick just one to mention.”

Lee Jun-Young added, “I found it easy to focus on acting when looking into the eyes of actors Lee Jae Wook and Hong Su Zu. Our on-set chemistry was really good, and being able to get to know such great people—I couldn’t ask for more.”

“I hope viewers will look forward to the synergy among actors of similar ages,” hinting that the chemistry of the three stars is an important point to look forward to in The Impossible Heir,” Hong Su Zu declared.

Not only the actors, but the director of the drama also opened up about their bonding, saying “I hoped that they would quickly become close so they could act more comfortably. After casting, we gathered at a guest house several times for script readings. They quickly became close because their personalities matched well, so I had no worries at all. It was nice to see them creating a pleasant atmosphere on set while also caring for each other and guiding one another in terms of acting.”
