Pyramid Game is an upcoming survival psychological thriller K-drama series. It is all set to debut on TVING, on Thursday, February 29, 2024. Starring WJSN member Kim Ji-Yeon, aka Bona, the series will center around a new transfer student, Seong Su-ji, at Baekyeon Girls’ High School and the school’s brutal ranking system that leads to school violence.
Park So-Yeon is the director of Pyramid Game. The series is an adaptation of the Naver webtoon of the same name. Dalgonyak has written the original webtoon. As per Xports News, director Park So-Yeon is a fan of Dalgonyak’s original webtoon. In a recent interview, she expressed her fondness for the webtoon, as reported by Xports News. She said, “When I first read it, I felt the power of the story.”

In a recent interview as per Xports News, the director, Park So-Yeon, opened up about her upcoming K-drama Pyramid Game. She explained what drew her towards the story of Dalgonyak’s original webtoon. Park So-Yeon also explained why she decided to direct the upcoming TVING K-drama. She said in the interview, “I was drawn to the freshness of the structure that mixed victims, perpetrators, and bystanders, and the diverse charms of the characters. I felt like I had to do this work.”
Director Park So-Yeon further commented on the story of Pyramid Game and explained what made it interesting. She said, “If you don’t get a vote, you are bullied, but when the target of the bullying changes, the character escapes as if nothing happened. This strange atmosphere was interesting.”
During the interview, director Park So-Yeon also talked about what she wanted to portray in the new series, Pyramid Game, based on the webtoon. Park So-Yeon said, “The second year of Baekyeon Girls’ High School is a mixture of victims, perpetrators, and bystanders…I wanted to portray a diverse group of characters in Class 5. The most interesting elements are how transfer student Seong Soo-ji builds relationships with other students and how the story is told,”
Thus, viewers seem to be in for a thrilling new psychological survival Korean series. Pyramid Game will arrive on TVING on Thursday, February 29, 2024.
