Without further ado, let’s dive right in to learn what happens in episode 13 of the thriller series in detail below.

My Happy Ending Episode 13: Lee Ki-Taek saves Jang Na-Ra

My Happy Ending episode 13 begins right where episode 12 ends. Seo Jae-Won (Jang Na-ra) is tied to a chair after Kwon Young-Ik kidnapped her. He and the man working under him, named Yoon-Jae, begin to torture Jae-Won. Soon, Kwon Young-Ik (Kim Myung-Soo) decides to kill Jae-Won to save his daughter, Kwon Yoon-Jin (So Yi-Hyun) and his reputation. He tries to end Jae-Won’s life by poisoning her.

However, Yoon Te-Oh (Lee Ki-Taek) reaches the spot at the right time and starts calling Jae-Won’s name. After realizing his presence, Te-Oh flees from there. Yoon Te-Oh then gets into a fight with Yoon-Jae. Te-Oh gets lightly injured but he saves Seo Jae-Won’s life. Kwon Yoon-Jin thinks that he will get away with what he has done, however, he is unaware of the fact that Jae-Won has been wearing a hidden camera in her clothes the whole time since her kidnapping.

Thereafter, in episode 13 of My Happy Ending, Te-Oh takes Jae-Won to the hospital, where they check the camera to collect the footage of Kwon Young-Ik committing the crime. They are successful in collecting the evidence. Later on, an assembly inspection conducted by the Ministry of Culture is held, where the meeting’s leader calls out Kwon Young-Ik. He questions him about his involvement in the recent kidnapping case of Seo Jae-Won.

Kwon Young-Ik immediately starts to lie and defend himself. But Jae-Won appears there as a witness. She goes on to show the video footage of him trying to poison her and confessing other crimes as well. Thus, Kwon Young-Ik’s crimes finally come out in front of everyone. Then, Detective Oh Soo-Jin arrives there and arrests him for his crimes.

Although initially in episode 13 of My Happy Ending, Jae-Won feels relieved, she soon starts to feel uneasy as she believes Kwon Young-Ik’s daughter Yoon-Jin is behind everything. Thus, she also wants to bring her crimes to the surface. Now, Baek Seung-Gyu’s testimony is the only thing that can put Yoon-Jin behind bars. Baek Seung-Gyu finally becomes ready to talk to Detective Oh Soo-Jin. However, it is too late, as another shocking and chilling incident takes place.

At the end of My Happy Ending episode 13, Kwon Yoon-Jin finds out the place, where Baek Seung-Gyu has been living. The episode also reveals that Yoon-Jae has been working for Yoon-Jin. Jae-Won and Te-Oh go to check on Baek Seung-Gyu. But when they arrive near the place where he has been staying, they see the police are already there. Then they witness the authorities bringing out a dead body from inside. It looks like someone has killed Baek Seung-Gyu.

Right after that, to Jae-Won’s utter shock, she sees Kwon Yoon-Jin coming out of the same building. Her clothes are covered in blood. Episode 13 of My Happy Ending ends right there.
