Starring Kim Young-Dae and Pyo Ye-Jin, Moon in the Day episode 9 aired on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, on ENA. Recently, the K-drama’s storyline has taken a tragic turn.
In episode 8, Han Min-O (On Joo-Wan) finds out that his brother Jun-Oh’s body is possessed by the evil spirit named Do Ha. Chul-Hwan brainwashes him into believing that he can save Jun-Oh, but he needs to kill Kang Young-Hwa because her past karma brought Do Ha’s spirit into Jun-Oh’s body.
In the latest episode, Min-O asks Young-Hwa to bring Jun-Oh with her on camping. Here, he sets his plan to kill Pyo Ye-Jin’s character in motion.
Moon in the Day episode 9 ending: Kim Young-Dae runs to save Pyo Ye-Jin
Moon in the Day episode 9 focuses on the lead characters hoping to spend some quality time for the last time. Do Ha (Kim Young-Dae) aims to kill Young-Hwa before she turns 30. For context, Ha Ri-Ta’s reincarnation died when she turned 30. Moreover, if Young-Hwa dies before Do Ha kills her, he won’t be able to set his spirit free.
However, he begins to develop romantic feelings towards her, so he asks her to stop dreaming because he doesn’t want her to know that her ancestor, Ri-Ta, killed him. Young-Hwa (Pyo Ye-Jin), on the other hand, wishes to make memories with Do Ha before he leaves the world for good.
Meanwhile, Chul-Hwan’s evil plan to kill Young-Hwa and Do Ha seems to work. For those unaware, the spirit of Do Ha’s evil stepfather from the Silla period has possessed Chul-Hwan. He manipulates Jun-Oh’s brother, Min-O, to kill Young-Hwa so as to save his brother from Do Ha’s spirit.
In Moon in the Day episode 9 ending, the lead characters and Min-O are in the woods camping when the latter spikes Do Ha’s coffee. Min-O approaches Young-Hwa with a serious look in his eyes. He says, “Don’t think this is unfair. This is all because of your karma from your previous life.” Young-Hwa looks startled, and that’s when he pushes her off the cliff. The episode ends with Do Ha running to her to save her, but will Do Ha succeed?
