High Cookie K-Drama Ending: Nam Ji-Hyun Addresses Multiple Deaths in the Finale

High Cookie, the highly engrossing thriller K-drama series that airs every Monday to Thursday on U Plus, is coming to an end. It revolves around a suspenseful and deadly homemade cookie and the students of an elite high school, who falls prey to it. The series stars the popular South Korean actress Nam Ji-Hyun in the lead role of  Choi Soo-Young.

As per OSEN, in a recent interview, actress Nam Ji-Hyun talked about the finale of High Cookie. She has addressed several deaths and their consequences as well. Thus, it is quite evident that the ongoing thriller series will end on a chilling note.

In a November 24th interview held in Seoul, Nam Ji-Hyun opened up about what viewers can expect from the finale of High Cookie, as reported by OSEN. While talking about the ending of the K-drama series, the actress says, “I received the script and did not receive any additional information. When I personally read it, I thought Soo-Young must have died….At the meeting before starting this work, I asked about the ending….I asked because I didn’t want it to be a happy ending.”

She further added, “I couldn’t tell you if it was a happy ending or a sad ending, but I was told that selling cookies was a mistake and I would have to pay for it….Rather than being completely rehabilitated in the end, I think it was only after seeing people actually die that I realized it later….Rather than having stable emotions or thoughts, Suyeong has many imperfections….I think if you do something wrong, you should take responsibility….So, before I started, I asked him if he took responsibility for his mistakes. They told me that I don’t have to worry because all characters take responsibility for their mistakes”.

Kang Han has served as the writer of the U Plus drama while Song Min-Yeop has directed it. Apart from Nam Ji-Hyun, the cast of High Cookie also includes Choi Hyun-Wook, Jung Da-Bin and Kim Mu-Yeol, among others.
