Meanwhile, Queen Taelha (played by Kim Ok-Vin) focuses on building her own kingdom before she can take back Arthdal as promised Tagon. As was expected, season 2 finale was packed with action and drama, keeping viewers glued to their TV screens.

Arthdal Chronicles 2 episode 12 recap

In Arthdal Chronicles 2 finale, Saya and Tanya conspire against Tagon to take over Arthdal. Saya focuses on Tanya (played by Shin Se-Kyung) and capturing Arthdal, so he swaps places with Eunseom after a fierce battle with the Ago tribe. Eventually, Eunseom arrives at Arthdal and prepares for the final war.

Tanya rebels against the King at Arthdal along with her accomplices. However, Tagon blindsides everyone by acting insane just to see who stands in his favor. He soon imprisons everyone who is against him and prepares for the battle with Eunseom. Although he loses and is presumed dead, he returns in time when Tanya is about to take control over the dynasty. Soon after, he imprisons her.

Eunseom enters the palace with the help of the Momo tribe, while Tagon tells Taelha to save herself and Arok so she can come back later to capture Arthdal. After Tagon reveals that he’s poisoned the water of Arthdal, Tanya tries to convince him to back down. However, none of that has any effect on him. Eunseom arrives to save Tanya, but only she knows that it is Saya since the two had swapped places earlier.

Eventually, Tagon is defeated, but Tanya is in danger after she dives into the poisonous water of Arthdal to close the water channel from entering the dynasty. Taelha arrives in time to provide the antidote to Tanya and kills Tagon after a bittersweet goodbye. Taelha leaves with Arok as Tanya convinces the people to accept Eunseom as the leader of Arthdal.

Season 2 ends with Saya being captured by the Neanthals. While he lets go of Tanya, he determines to return and capture Arthdal. Eunseom and Tanya reunite to build a dynasty that they’d dreamt for long. Following this, Taelha is seen with a grown-up Arok, building her own dynasty and preparing for a war. She is also keen on taking back Arthdal, which she promised to Tagon.

Will there be a season 3 of Arthdal Chronicles?

Viewers weren’t disappointed as the second season of Arthdal Chronicles delivered what fans expected from the franchise. Season 2 was riveting from start to finish, and considering its ending, there are several storylines to explore. Will Saya return to capture Arthdal? Will Taelha keep her promise to Tagon?

Looking at the success of the first two seasons, it is highly likely that there will be a third season. However, as of now, there have been no official updates on the same. Fans will have to wait and find out if there is a third season.

The season finale of Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramoon earned a significant rise in the viewership as compared to its previous episodes. As per Nielsen Korea, the finale scored an average nationwide rating of 4.6 percent, two percent more than its previous episode, as reported by Soompi.
