Moon in the Day Second Teaser Hints Kim Young-dae’s Strong Will for Revenge

The second teaser of the upcoming South Korean drama series Moon in the Day has been released. The premise consists of a tragic love story that spans over 1,500 years, moving back and forth between the past and present.

Based on the popular webtoon Moonrise During the Day by Heyum, the K-drama stars Kim Young-dae and Pyo Ye-jin in dual roles. While the male lead plays Han Jun Oh from the modern world and Do Ha from the Silla Dynasty, Ye-jin appears as Kang Young-hwa from the present and Ha Ni-ta from the past.

Kim Young-dae Promises to Seek Revenge in the New Moon in the Day Teaser

ENA released a new teaser of Moon in the Day that highlights a heartbreaking love story. The series features Kim Young-dae playing Han Joon-o, a top Korean star who is charming but struggles with an inferiority complex. When he gets into a car accident, Kang Young-hwa (Pyo Ye-jin), firefighter-turned-bodyguard, saves him.

After Joon-o wakes up following the mishap, his body is possessed by Do Ha, a nobleman from the Villa dynasty. He was killed by his wife, Ha Ni-ta, and has been waiting for over 1,500 years to seek revenge. However, Ha Ni-ta reincarnated as Young-hwa, and as such, she doesn’t remember anything from her past life.

The newly released teaser begins with a shot of Do Ha wearing an outfit from the Silla dynasty and sporting a scar on his neck. He looks at Kang Young-hwa, who is in her modern-day look, while she stares at Do Ha with affectionate eye.

The teaser further shows a scene from the past where the lead characters share a romantic moment. The next moment, love seems to fade as tragedy and betrayal fill the atmosphere after Ha Ni-ta attacks Do Ha with a sword around his neck. A line appears during the scene that reads, “My lover who killed me.” Soon after, Young-hwa and Do Ha are seen standing over a building’s terrace facing each other. Do Ha says, “This time I am sure I’ll kill you first.”

Moon in the Day Photo Stills Suggest a Tragic Love Story

Along with the second teaser, ENA also released several photo stills from Moon in the Day.

The pictures document the beginning of the tragic story of Do Ha and Ha Ni-ta in Silla. In one of the photos, the couple don red attires and stare into each other’s eyes while Ni-ta affectionately puts her palm on her husband’s cheek. The next still shows Do Ha sleeping on his wife’s lap while she looks at him. The third and fourth pictures create a different atmosphere as they depict distance and heartbreak.

Moon in the Day is all set to premiere on October 25, 2023, at 9:00 pm KST on ENA every Wednesday and Thursday. The drama will also be available on Viki.
