Has Rajkummar Rao Done Plastic Surgery?

Acclaimed Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao recently confronted rumors about undergoing plastic surgery. However, he clarified his stance in interviews with Film Companion and NDTV. The speculation arose after his appearance at a recent event in Mumbai. After the photo went viral, social media users quickly remarked on his noticeably different look.

Rajkummar Rao has been known for his versatile roles and commitment to his craft. His previous films have been highly acclaimed, and he continues to focus on his career with upcoming films. Additionally, he will be next seen in Srikanth, Mr. & Mrs. Mahi, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, and Stree 2.

Rajkummar Rao addresses his plastic surgery rumours

In a detailed conversation with NDTV, Rajkummar denied any surgical procedures, attributing the exceptional appearance in the photos to touch-ups. “I’ve not gone under the knife. I have not done any kind of plastic surgery,” he asserted. He explained that the photo which sparked the debate was likely touched-up. He went on to say that his skin looked flawless, which he even found surprising given the circumstances of the photo being taken after a full day of shooting without makeup.

The actor did admit to using fillers on his chin nearly a decade ago. He also added that the minor cosmetic procedure was meant to boost his confidence. “Eight-nine years back, I did a little touch up on my chin with fillers, which is like a half-hour job, because I wanted to feel more confident,” Rajkummar disclosed, emphasizing that this has not altered his personality or his capabilities as an artist.

During his interview with Film Companion, Rajkummar also touched on the broader issue of appearance pressures celebrities face. He highlighted that male actors are under as much pressure as their female counterparts to look good in the public eye. He also added the stress compounded by the omnipresence of paparazzi. “One wrong angle, one wrong picture, one wrong moment captured, and people would just talk about it for no reason,” he explained.

As Rajkummar navigates through the challenges of maintaining a public image amidst rampant speculation and scrutiny, his clarification brings some respite to the ongoing rumors and reaffirms his dedication not only to his art but also to maintaining authenticity in his public persona.
