Kalki 2898 AD is set to hit the theaters on May 9, 2024. However, the film is allegedly far from completion. The latest report claims that the Prabhas starrer might be postponed for a few months. Here are all the details.
Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD to release in July?
According to a report by 123telugu.com, Kalki 2898 AD might be months away from its release. The report claims the movie’s delay is widely discussed among film circles. Moreover, its makers are now eyeing the second week of July for the magnum opus release. An official announcement regarding the movie’s delay is expected on Ram Navami, April 17.
So far, details about Kalki 2898 AD have been kept under wraps. However, it has been revealed that Prabhas will be seen in a superhero-like avatar. Allegedly, the actor will play the role of an avatar of Lord Vishnu. As claims about the movie being the Indian Star Wars were making rounds, director Nag Ashwin spoke against it. He clarified how his upcoming directorial is a fresh idea, not inspired by the popular film franchise. He added that the movie is India’s Kalki and not India’s Star Wars.
The movie is a star-studded flick with actors from different industries. Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has been roped in for a crucial role. Actresses Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani are also playing key characters. Moreover, Tamil star Kamal Haasan allegedly has a special role in the upcoming film.
