Pushpa 2 will follow the events of the 2021 movie Pushpa: The Rise. As the name suggests, Allu Arjun’s Pushpa Raj will be seen ruling the red sandalwood smuggling world. While Rashmika Mandanna is reprising her role as Srivalli, Fahadh Faasil will be seen again stepping into the shoes of SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat.

Fahadh Faasil says his antagonist role in Pushpa 2 is ‘far more interesting’
Fahadh Faasil’s character of SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat created a lot of trouble for Pushpa Raj in Pushpa: The Rise. However, he also had to pay for his foul play and wrongdoings. The movie had an open ending and since then fans are eager to know more details about its characters and plot.
As per Times Now, Faasil addressed questions about his role in Pushpa 2 during the press conference for his upcoming movie Aavesham. Talking about his antagonist role, the actor revealed that it has a different track. He said, “The role isn’t about how cruel I will be, it’s far more interesting, it’s not the usual kind of cruelness, it’s a different track.”
Furhter in the conference, the actor praised the film franchise and said, “Pushpa is celebrated more than the villain, Bunny (Allu Arjun) even got the National award for it.”
Pushpa 2: The Rule will hit the silver screens on August 15, 2024. Moreover, the movie will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
