Devara Part 2 OTT rights to be sold for over $20 million?
Netflix has already announced that it has sealed the deal for Devara: Part 1. The OTT platform did not reveal when the film will be available to stream online, but it confirmed that it will happen after the movie’s theatrical release. According to OTTplay, the first installment’s OTT rights were sold for over $18.6 million. This includes all languages in which the movie is made or dubbed. The same publication has confirmed that the producers are demanding over $20 million for Devara 2.
It seems that Netflix does not want to miss the deal and bring the Devara film franchise to its platform. Moreover, the movie’s producers are confident that it will be a huge success.
It has been over two years since Jr NTR’s movie RRR came out. The actor’s fans have been eagerly waiting to watch him back on the big screen playing a powerful role. Therefore, the craze for Devara: Part 1 among the audience is gigantic. Apart from its dramatic plot, it is its cast that has left the audience intrigued.
The movie will see Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor make her Telugu debut as she plays the leading lady. On the other hand, Saif Ali Khan has been roped in to play the lead antagonist. Kortala Siva is serving as the film’s director, who has earlier worked with Jr NTR in Janatha Garage.
